North Tama enjoys great success in its athletic programs.  This success is due in part to the excellent support from our students, staff and fans at our athletic events.  We would like to remind everyone about the importance of good sportsmanship and proper behavior at all events…Good Sportsmanship is the expectation and the norm at North Tama.  The North Tama County Community School District has made it a priority to continually improve the sportsmanship demonstrated by our coaches, players and fans.  We trust everyone associated with our athletic programs will assist in this important effort.    

Admission:

  • Varsity events - $5.00 for adults and students K–12
  •  All other Varsity events - $3 for students K-12 and $5 for adults
  •  No admission charge to JV/Fresh-Soph or Junior High games.   

Athletic Tickets:

  • North Tama Student Athletic Ticket (grades K-12) - $50.00
    • Valid for all North Tama Varsity Home Athletic Events
    •         Does Not Include:
    •             State Sponsored Post Season Competition
    •             Plays, Concerts or Swing Show
    • If the ticket is lost there is a $3.50 replacement fee
    • Students NEED TO SHOW THE TICKET to be admitted free of charge.  If they do not have the athletic ticket with them, they  MUST PAY ADMISSION PRICE.
    • There are NO PASS OUTS.  If you leave the event, you will NOT be readmitted.    
  • Adults Athletic Tickets – Non Senior Citizens $100
    • Valid for all North Tama Varsity Home Athletic Events
    •         Does Not Include:
    •             State Sponsored Post Season Competition
    •             Plays, Concerts or Swing Show
    • If the ticket is lost there is a $3.50 replacement fee
    • Adults NEED TO SHOW THE TICKET to be admitted free of charge.  If they do not have the athletic ticket with them, they  MUST PAY ADMISSION PRICE.
    • There are NO PASS OUTS.  If you leave the event, you will NOT be readmitted
  • Senior Citizens (65 yrs and older) Activity Tickets - $50
    • Valid for all North Tama Home Events
    •         Does Not Include:
    •             State Sponsored Post Season Competition
    • If the ticket is lost there is a $3.50 replacement fee
    • Adults NEED TO SHOW THE TICKET to be admitted free of charge.  If they do not have the athletic ticket with them, they  MUST PAY ADMISSION PRICE.
    • There are NO PASS OUTS.  If you leave the event, you will NOT be readmitted

For Varsity volleyball, basketball games and wrestling meets, spectators should enter the school via the front north gym entrance or the south band room door.

For Varsity events, North Tama fans should sit on the east side of the gym.  Elementary students should either sit with their parents or in the northeast corner of the gym.  High School  students should sit in the HAWKS NEST.  Junior High students may sit in the top 2 rows of the HAWKS NEST.  If that area is full, the JH students should sit in the northeast corner.  Visiting fans are asked to sit on the west side of the gym.

For Varsity events, concessions will be available.  High School students may go to the concession stand or rest rooms   at   any   time   during  the game.  They should return to the gym as soon as possible and not loiter in the halls.
    
Elementary and Junior High students may go to the concession stand or rest rooms during half time or between games.  If elementary students are leaving during the game they should be accompanied by an adult.  They should not loiter in the halls.    

Pop and other beverages in plastic bottles with resealable caps are allowed in the gym.

Examples of inappropriate conduct at games include, but are not limited to:  making unnecessary noises;  booing;  negative or derogatory remarks directed at players, spectators, school officials (North Tama or other schools), or game officials;  profanity;  throwing objects;  use of "laser light" pens;  vandalism;  running around; entering the contest area,   and fighting.  Noisemakers, whistles, confetti, etc. are not permitted.) rules state that shirts and shoes will be required attire for all in attendance at any indoor athletic event sponsored by the IHSAA or the IGHSAU. In accordance with these organizations, individuals disrupting school district activities will be asked to stop the disruption and may be asked to leave the school district grounds, temporarily or permanently.
    
IHSAA and IGHSAU rules prohibit the possession or consumption of alcohol at any event sponsored by the IHSAA or the IGHSAU.  North Tama is a tobacco free campus.
    
The IHSAA and the IGHSAU have the following procedure for taunting:   Management  MAY  give spectators one warning for taunting; thereafter, spectators who taunt will be ejected from the game site.
    
The North Tama County Community School Board has adopted Board Policy Code No. 1003.6,  PUBLIC CONDUCT ON SCHOOL PREMISES,  pertaining to adult conduct during school sponsored or approved activities.  A complete copy of this policy may be obtained from the Superintendent.
