END OF 1ST QUARTER

Report cards will be emailed to parents on Thursday, November 1.

 

TIME CHANGE

On Sunday, November 4,  Daylight Savings Time ends.  Remember to turn your clocks back 1 hour when you go to bed on Saturday night.

 

FOURTH GRADE TO GBPAC

On Monday, November 5, the Fourth Grade classes will travel to GBPAC to see the play “ArcAttack Engineering”.

 

FIFTH GRADE TO GBPAC

On Tuesday, November 6, the Fifth Grade class will travel to GBPAC to see the play “ArcAttack Electricity”.

 

SPACE CAMP PENNY WAR

The Fifth Grade class is holding a “Space War” (penny war) November 5-9 to raise funds for North Tama Space Camp Scholarships.

 

“The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland”

The NT Drama Department’s Fall Play will present “The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland” on Friday and Saturday, November 9 and 10 at 7:00 pm in the H.S. gymnasium.  Admission is $5.

 

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY

There will be no school on Monday, November 12.  Staff will be in an all day inservice.

 

 

 

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

The next regularly scheduled school board meeting will be held on Monday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m.

 

AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK

North Tama will observe American Education Week November 12-16.  NT thanks all our administrators, teachers, associates, and support staff for "Opening Doors to Life-Long Learning"

 

 

 

 

THANKSGIVING BREAK – EARLY DISMISSAL

On Wednesday, November 21, school will be dismissed at 2:30 for the start of our Thanksgiving Break.  There will be NO school on Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving.  Classes resume Monday, November 26.

 

PRESCHOOL PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

Preschool Conferences will be held Monday, November 26 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm and Tuesday, November 27 from 3:30 – 8:00 pm in the preschool room.

 

 

 

COLD WEATHER GEAR

With colder temperatures and winter weather fast approaching, please remember to dress your students to stay warm on the bus, out at recess, and in their classrooms.  Hats, gloves, boots and snow pants are mandatory in order to play in the snow.

In the event it is necessary to announce a LATE START, CANCEL, or DISMISS SCHOOL EARLY due to weather or road conditions, the announcement will be made over the following TV stations AND by the SwiftReach Text Alerts through PowerSchool.
