    School Day: A

     

    Redhawks Shout Out: 

    1. To the North Tama Large Group Speech Team! Their short film, Tales from a Dungeon Master: The Boat Scandal received a Division 1 Rating at District Speech in Vinton. The film consists of Madi Schults, Emma Boldy, Landon Kucera, Alex Meggers, Sam Ramirez and Johnathan Cochran. They will take their short film to State Speech at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School on February 4th.

    2. Email shoutouts to Trish for a classmate, teacher, staff member, coach, team, club, etc. Shoutouts are anonymous unless told otherwise.

    1. Job Opportunity: The Traer Theatre is in need of a projectionist. Students must be 14 years old to apply. Contact Amy at 319-239-0854 with interest or questions.

    1. Grades 10, 11, 12: Holly from Hawkeye will be here tomorrow - January 24th - from 9-11am in Ms. Linck’s office. Holly can answer any questions you may have about college (not just Hawkeye).

    2. Computer Science Classes: If you are interested in taking a self-paced Computer Science class that will go towards your CTE credits, Mr. LaRue sent out a website that has the different class offerings. You can also find the website here. See Ms. Linck or Ms. Boerm to see if it can fit into your schedule. See Mr. LaRue if you have any questions.

    3. Seniors: 

      1. Scholarship Opportunities: 

        1. Make sure to check your emails from Ms. Linck that include scholarships available.

        2. The North Tama Dollars for Scholars scholarships opened January 1st and will close March 1st. See Ms. Linck if you have any questions.

      2. Senior/Baby Pics: Trish needs a close-up picture of your senior photo. These photos will be used for the yearbook, newspaper, and senior video - a baby picture is also needed for the video. Start bringing those as soon as you have it.

      3. After Graduation Plans: Once you have your plans for after graduation (work force, college, military, vocational school, etc.), please stop by the Secondary office for your picture and online announcement. If you have a college/vocational school/military, etc. letter, please bring that with you.
